Day 2: Transfer to Akagera National Park – Afternoon Boat Cruise.

After an early breakfast, accompany your safari guide for a transfer to Akagera National Park. Upon arrival, check in, eat lunch and then depart for an afternoon boat excursion on Lake Ihema. On a boat excursion, you will get the opportunity to see a variety of exotic species, including crocodiles, hippos, buffaloes, and elephants.

Day 3: Morning Game Drive – Transfer to Volcanoes National Park.

Wake up early, eat lunch, and then head out for an amazing game viewing experience in the park. This permits you to encounter a large number of early risers as well as predators looking for an early morning feast. Elephants, bush giraffes, duikers, giraffes, waterbucks, and zebras are among the spectacular animals seen here. Later, return to the lodge for lunch. Check out and meet your driver guide for the transfer to Volcanoes National Park. After arriving in the park, check into your reserved lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking Experience.

Wake up early, eat breakfast, and prepare your packed lunch boxes and plenty of drinking water before heading to the park headquarters for a briefing and jungle trekking exercise. Here, you are assigned ranger guides who will brief you on the dos and don’ts of trekking. Later, transfer to the starting location and begin the walk. It is vital to remember that the trekking exercise lasts between 30 minutes and 8 hours every day, depending on the location of the gorilla family. After discovering a gorilla family, you will be permitted to spend one hour with them, seeing their daily routines in the bush and learning more about their lifestyle habits.

After a fantastic, unforgettable trip, head back to the lodge for a little rest. Visit the Iby’iwacu Cultural Village later in the afternoon to engage with the locals and gain a better understanding of their traditional traditions through the cultural dances that are organised there. After dinner, head back to the lodge for the night.

Day 5: Golden Monkey Trekking – Transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park

Head to the park headquarters at the lodge for a briefing on the dos and don’ts of trekking after an early breakfast. Go to the starting place, join the other hikers, and start your journey. After seeing the troop of golden monkeys, take advantage of the opportunity to snap pictures and observe the behavioral patterns of these incredible animals. Then, head back to the resort to check out and take part in a transfer trip to Nyungwe Forest National Park, which is well-known for its enormous population of chimpanzees and other primates. Check into the lodge you reserved for dinner and the night when you arrive.

Day 6: Chimpanzee Trekking Experience.

Get up early for breakfast, then proceed to the park headquarters for a briefing on the proper way to trek chimpanzees in the jungle. Start looking for the habituated chimpanzee families that are available for tourists with the help of the park ranger guides. Since chimpanzee families are easy to find, trekking exercises for them are less challenging than those for gorillas. It takes roughly three hours to complete the walk. After that, head back to the lodge for a delectable meal.

Take a thrilling canopy walk through the forest in the afternoon. During the trek, you cross a swinging bridge that is roughly fifty meters long and supported by tall forest trees. You get the opportunity to see a variety of birds, fauna, and fascinating plant and tree species here. After that, head back to the lodge for dinner and the night.

Day 7: Return to Kigali City – Departure.

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast today, then check out of the lodge and head back to Kigali with your driver guide. From there, you’ll be dropped off at your hotel or the airport to catch your trip home or to your next safari location.
