Early Morning – Private Transfer & Park Briefing

Your day begins before sunrise with a private luxury vehicle transfer from your lodge or hotel in the Musanze area (or from Kigali with an earlier departure). En route, enjoy fresh coffee or tea, a breakfast box featuring pastries, fruits, and protein-rich snacks, as well as warm blankets for comfort.

Upon arrival at Volcanoes National Park Headquarters in Kinigi by 7:00 AM, you’ll be welcomed with a personalized check-in, followed by a safety briefing conducted by park rangers. While standard hikers gather in groups, your luxury package includes a private guide and an optional personal porter for added comfort.

Morning – Ascent Through the Virungas

The hike begins around 8:00 AM at the base of Mount Bisoke. Over the course of 5–6 hours (round-trip), you will ascend through a variety of ecosystems lush Hagenia forests, bamboo groves, and alpine meadows. This moderate-to-challenging hike is rich in flora and fauna, with possible sightings of golden monkeys, forest elephants, or even distant gorillas (though gorilla tracking requires a separate permit).
